Job Description Job Description Educational Interpreter – American Sign Language (ASL) Company: Princeton Staffing Solutions Contract Type: W2 – Local or Travel Position Details: Specialty: Educational Interpreter - American Sign Language (ASL) Facility Type: Public School District Setting: School – Special Education – Student Support Services Location: Key West, FL Work Arrangement and Hours Per Week: In Person – 37.5 Hours per Week Dates: ASAP - 05/29/2026 Age Range of Students: K-12 Experience: Required fluency in American Sign Language and current school-based experience as an Educational Interpreter (ASL) Educational Interpreter (ASL) – Qualifications and Responsibilities: Demonstrate fluency in American Sign Language to interpret and communicate effectively with the student and staff Interpret sign language for deaf students and voice for the student when needed Facilitate communication and educational access for deaf and hard of hearing student(s) Perform non-instructional signing activities; convert voice to sign language and vice versa Provide specially designed instruction as needed Execute accurate, timely, impartial, and effective signing, including strong receptive skills to understand rapidly signed communication Apply principles, practices, and techniques of interpreting for deaf and hard of hearing individuals Utilize educational interpreting vocabulary and concepts in a school setting License - Education - Certification Requirements: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred One of the following: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a minimum score of 4.0 and a passing score on the EIPA written test National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), and a passing score on the EIPA written test Additional state-specific requirements may apply Benefits of Working with Princeton Staffing Solutions: Referral Bonus Premium Pay Packages (likely we can meet or beat any realistic offer you receive) Weekly Direct Deposit Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (PPO and HMO options with comprehensive coverage at a lower premium than many of the largest agencies) 401K Licensure Reimbursement CEU Reimbursement Supervision for Clinical Fellows (CF-SLP) (in accordance with ASHA and state guidelines) Clinical Management Support Full Time & Part Time Positions Opportunities Available Nationwide for In-Person, Hybrid, or Tele Recruiters with extensive industry experience, best-in-class training, and dedication to finding a position that is the right fit for you About Princeton Staffing Solutions Craving an adventure?
